Sometimes I have this urge to reactivate my Bluesky account. This is where people meet after Twitxodus, it seems. Many good posts from there show up here.
But no. I don’t want to be subject to another algorithm that doesn’t optimize the content that is valuable to me but to bind me to the screen, maximize my engagement = the time I am available for their ads.
Nope. No more algorithm-selected content for me. Will stay strong. Will only be here.

Mastodon.social is not partnering with an AI company to do their moderation.
And missed where #Bluesky explicitely said that the content they are sharing with Roost (Google/OpenAI) will not be used for AI training.
In fact looking at the Roost TOS it seems like it explicitly can be used for improving their service, which can be construed as AI training.
Seems like an easy matter to clear up.

A little over 24 hours ago the #Democrats expressed their casual homophobia on Bluesky to own the fascists. The early adopters of #Bluesky were significantly #LGBTQ. #Trans folk in particular found a safe, supportive space there before the platform was opened to everyone.
The DNC is part of the most recent exit of liberals from #Twitter to bsky. So, understandably the partisan late adopters are getting ratioed in a popular backlash of skeets and RT’s. Leaving their skeet up this long only shows that they refuse to read the room.
