I'm hoping somebody manages to package all those things in a single app that could be installed with e.g. #Docker, #Cloudron or #YunoHost. Self-hosting is viable, the next step is making it turn-key

Appreciation post: Migration done! Moved @cloudron from old VPS to new VPS, and the process was so quick that I took for granted something had failed.
It hadn’t.
All six services, this #Mastodon instance included, now has a new home on the internet.

It should mostly work, but we are always a bit cautious pushing out automatic updates.

Back online I must say… #cloudron is amazing! even if you break it there are always ways to restore it.
And even if you mess up with the underlying server, says its Docker version & then Cloudron isn’t happy about it, you can go back and get things up and running in no time. it’s really neat! https://osintukraine.com

Mit dem neuen #Scanner (Epson Workforce 580) endlich einen rechnerlosen Workflow in mein mit #Cloudron hosted #Paperless hinbekommen. Zwar noch einen Umweg über die Hetzner Storagebox, aber immerhin voll automatisiert. Jetzt muss ich meinem Vater nur noch zeigen auf welchen Knopf er am Scanner drücken muss. Schade dass man beim Scanner nicht die Reihenfolge im Menü anpassen kann.

People who use #yunohost, #cloudron, and other similar solutions, what are your experiences? I've been learning docker and I'm already a linux nerd who can do everything through the cli, but setting up #peertube with #traefik has been driving me a bit up the wall, especially since I'm new to networking. Not knowing what's going on with the prior solutions seems like it could really bite me if something goes wrong, but I'm also really frustrated rn, so I'm curious.
