@dave @Grey The problem is that some of its users are very much like domestic abusers. They post abusive content that targets various vulnerable groups. Because Meta doesn't moderate effectively, it is impossible to admit all of their users without admitting the abusive ones. That'd kind of the crux of the issue. If any other Fediverse instance behaved that way, it would be defederated. There's no reason not to treat Meta the same way. The #Fedipact just makes that visible.
@Grey @dave By the same token, how are domestic abusers supposed to learn how to behave in healthy ways unless you let them keep living in your house? Locking out from your most intimate spaces people who don't know better than to cause you harm can't be the answer. It's gatekeeping to keep them out of the loving environments they deserve. #Fedipact

I respect the thought behind #FediPact but basilisk.gallery won't be doing it - unless all other users request it, at which point I'll concede and respect those wishes.
Meta can get fucked, but I don't personally think blocking people who don't have the knowledge to join the Fediverse properly is the answer.
No shade on instance admins who do choose to block Meta instances. That's the joy of federation, freedom of choice.
the real issue is that the fedipact 1 form has well over a thousand submissions and takes like two hours to load
