CISA, FBI urge Americans to use #encrypted #messaging apps to combat Chinese telco hackers
ICYMI: in OCT 2024, it was reported ation-state threat actor "Salt Typhoon" has deeply compromised most of the major US telecos - AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc - likely conduct cyber espionage. Their level of access meant the threat actor could access real-time unencrypted calls and texts + #metadata.

In a "pinch" #WhatsApp and #iMessage will do (they're not SMS) as they are also e2e encrypted, though they're not recommended from a privacy sense mostly because of the amount of metadata exposed to the servers.

In iOS WhatsApp, the Chats tab is 4th in the tab order. That makes little sense given that WhatsApp is primarily a chat app!

Como raro que soy, no quiero copia de seguridad de #Whatsapp y lo tengo desactivado, pero de un tiempo a esta parte me llegan mínimo 2 mensajes cada día: "no se ha podido realizar la copia de seguridad", pero si he dicho que no lo quiero!
¿Alguien sabe como evitar esos mensajes?
