Migrating my #Docker and #Proxmox system to new, more power friendly hardware. The tools, process, and so much more. Running it all on #Linux of course! https://youtu.be/1uv7_YiFEBg
I am finding that the documentation for installing #mastodon via #docker is REALLY scattered, and hard to follow. I am having to piece together one solution from lots of different solutions. I feel like there should be one document that users can rely on.
I find myself backtracking and starting over several times, and i use docker every single day.
How is your Saturday so far? I was able to reduce the size of my Python image by 75% with a multi-stage build 🤩
Is my problem that I have too many containers to manage or that I'm considering running another container to solve the problem?

If you want some information on getting #nextcloud #reverse-proxy going on #docker I made some documentation :

#linux #OpenSource
I made a pull to add it to their documentation but they dont want it. 🤷. Probably my #neurodifferent brain. #actuallyAutistic
I feel like every time I deploy my self-hosted services I get better and better at designing it. The very first time I did it, it was a complete and utter mess, and overtime I moved to docker containers and docker compose.
My latest iteration includes centralized authentication, Traefik for easier web proxying, and the more interesting thing I don't think I've seen done yet, a central database "network" that hosts postgresql, redis (DragonflyDB), mongodb, etc. and all the apps (except the IdP) connect back to those. Oh and the use of Infisical for secret management (no more hard coded secrets in docker compose files).
