git send-email always asks me:
Do you really want to send 0000-cover-letter.patch~? [y|N]
Which is good. But is there a way to tell git send-email to ignore backup files, no questions asked? I haven't found a way, and what little I understand from the perl source, there isn't one.
Starting the week with a very small pull request I just published 🤭
I'm the first to scream when I need to review a gigantic PR, but sometimes working on a big code refactoring after months working on a project doesn't really allow for small ones.
All in all I removed 560 lines of code so I guess it makes it more okay ? 🙈

Are you skilled with #git? Help me solve a seemingly nasty problem: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/78399515/how-best-to-merge-many-git-branches-appending-to-a-single-file
TL;DR I need to merge dozens of conflicting branches, each adding a few lines to the same file. Octopus merge method isn't working.
I suggest that tig should always be installed alongside with git.

I have a file (let's just say Pipfile) in git. There are 4 different branches moving from dev, test, uat, prod .. there is some historical cruft.
Is there a nice easy way to 'git diff Pipfile' across those 4 different branches in one hit?

@liw Today I discovered radicle and it's literally what I would have liked to see in the world.
I had (in my head) a very similar project for a while but radicle has more features (replaces git-bug, has access control...) and most notably it is software that actually exists so...
Thanks to you and the radicle folks for tackling the distributed forges issue #git #radicle
A comic CMS that can be done using git pages!
https://ryanvilbrandt.github.io/comic_git/
This sounds pretty cool, as an option...though my "make the site not dependent not anything that could disappear in 10 years" self is panicking a little XD Also, it's github, so it's possible it's already "gatekept" in the sense of folks who can grok with it--as opposed to something like Comic Easel or Toocheke on Wordpress. But more options are always nice!! Someday, I might tinker with it.

Do you want to keep your activities on #codeberg or similar #git hosters compartimentalised into different accounts so your activity graphs are not too telling? This *is* a bit involved when you are doing ssh authentication. I'm trying to explain what to do (and why) at:
