Just discovered https://nebula.pub
If you're a Nebula subscriber and have a list for video creators here on mastodon, this is a game changer. Hope someday Nebula will officially embrace the fediverse.

So this does seem to be working, I'm guessing it gets cached as a different url than the video without the time tag?

We understand that not everyone will enjoy watching our Videos off YouTube. We are now working on joining a PeerTube instance to cross-post our uploads for Videos between YouTube to PeerTube.

been looking into loading in and freezing on Piped. Ie you can mouse over the timeline and see the frames showing up but playback won't start.
Seaching the error no (1002) that occasionally shows up, turned up a discussion on the Piped git.
https://github.com/TeamPiped/Piped/issues/2915
which suggests maybe a caching issue. Infact I've been experimenting with reloading the video and alternating between the url with "&t=1" and "&t=0" added, which seems to work in getting playback to start. I'll post more if this turns out to be more than a temporary blip or not.
Znáte #Earth2140? Věděli jste, že se pracuje na open implementaci #OpenE2140 postavený nad #OpenRA?

No, tak mají - dalek.zone/c/opene2140/videos

Thanks to the latest offensive launched just before the weekend by youtube against Invidious, I've been using Piped.
For me at least, I've been finding the playback a bit erratic. Oft times videos will suddenly freeze in a loading loop (not throwing shade btw).
One solution (there may be others) is to force the video to reload (Shift+ browser reload) but appending the elapsed time to the end of the URL, a trick I wrote about using with Invidious some months back (original post here: https://plasmatrap.com/notes/9hhl6igbuqtbuv0t)
Below is the key info from that post Piped-ified:
shift+ reload the url:
http://piped.video/watch?v=THE_VIDEO
but add the time elapsed in the video at the end of the url with the time tag "&t=" :
http://piped.video/watch?v=THE_VIDEO&t=TIME_ELAPSED
The TIME_ELAPSED needs to be given in seconds.
Not a maths god but the video timeline says 12:33?
No worries - here's a handy cheat sheet:
1min: 60
5 min: 300
10 min: 600
15 min: 900
20 min: 1200
30 min: 1800
40 min: 2400
50 min: 3000
60 min: 3600
120 min: 7200
180 min: 10800
240 min: 14400
&t=753 (60 + 60+ 600+ 33)
I also find Piped to be a little unresponsive for skipping around in videos, so the same trick can be used to reload the video at any point by adding or subtracting from the current elapsed time:
skip back 5 minutes
753-300 = 453
skip forward 5 minutes
753+300= 1053
skip forward 5 mins
7200+300 = 7500
Did you know that the FSF has a PeerTube account? #PeerTube is a decentralized, federated video platform powered by ActivityPub and WebTorrent, and you'll find us on the Framatube instance: https://u.fsf.org/36m
