Also on #github I was having an absolute wave of fake avatar looking sock puppet developers trying to weasle their way into becoming maintainers of various software stuff I was working on.
In my case, my solution was to private my github profile, and migrate my stuff to my #forgejo instance.

Most AI applications are crap and a waste of electricity but I'm actually quite enjoying #Github's #Copilot for development. As I tell friends, development is 50%+ googling for how to do the thing you want to do, if Copilot can save me that time its a win.
I know its weird but when it finally suggests something that solves me out of a hole (that frequently Copilot itself led me into), I tell it thank you, or "perfect that solved my problem."

The quality of #OSS generally has matched or exceeded commercial alternatives.
